JMA Custom Apparel founder, Keisha Breaker, is a fierce advocate for empowerment through the arts, creativity and self-discovery at all ages. Throughout her robust career, this passion has generated many programs for youth and adults including academic learning through dance, photography/videography, musical theatre, and spoken word. With over 28 years of teaching experience in the arts and 5 years in apparel, she felt the market lacked diversity. Fueled with the desire for each dancer to see themselves represented in books, accessories and spirit wear, JMA Custom Apparel was born.
Ms. Breaker is an award-winning educator, professional dancer, author and choreographer. Her career highlights and accolades include: National Dance Society’s awardee for Dance Promotion in the Community; Served as Vice President of Dance with Texas Association of Health Physical Education Recreation and Dance; Dance Dallas’ Dance Educator of the Year; The city of Fort Worth’s Woman of the Year; KRLD Radio’s Fort Worth Black Historian; Tarrant County Minority and Leadership and Citizen Council’s Woman’s History Month Honoree and Texas Woman’s University’s Distinguished Alumni.
